I saw a video of the kid like a year ago and check out what he's doing now.... 

 The first double backflip on a wheelchair, landed by Aaron Fotheringham. After landing the double on his wheelchair, he named it the Bible Flip, because it takes a whole lot of faith to throw a double. Talk about drive and motivation! This dude is sick, gotta give him mad props! Keep living the dream man!

This is a sick band I found a few days back. 

The story is I loved Jason Lancaster back when he was with Mayday Parade.The dude's voice kills me. Some people just got it, can sing straight from the heart. It's crazy when you find singers like this. Obviously he isn't the combo pack, I mean the dude's an ugly mug, but you close your eyes and this man is a dream maker. With the sweet melodies and poetic lyrics, it's just what I needed to get me excited about new music again. So check em out... I found this video over at Hurley.com and thought it was sick, so here it is:

I have always been struck by modern art. There is just something about thinking outside the box and doing things a little bit different that I like. I remember when I was a kid, while everyone in school was using glitter and pastels, I would be gluing sticks, leaves, and feathers. Playing in the dirt, right? I think in some way that appeals to all of us. After so much time of, “No, you paint here.” or “That’s not what a house looks like.” Or maybe the most well known, “Draw a RED flower with a GREEN stem.” Anyways, I think for some of us, we can’t handle the direction, we just freak out and go crazy and end up painting the trash or the side walk.

So, Go. Be different. That IS what a house looks like. Live life. :)

Envy On The Coast called it quits earlier this week, but don’t start weeping just yet. The band will play three final shows next month. At the end of August Envy will headline farewell concerts at Boston’s The Middle East, Philadelphia’s First Unitarian Church and New York’s Irving Plaza.

The band made their breakup public on Tuesday via a Facebook message posted by singer/guitarist Ryan Hunter. Hunter explained that guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist Sal Bossio and bassist Jer Velardi had decided to leave the group, causing the band to decide it was time “to pull that curtain down.” Hunter wrote, “Brian and I decided a long time ago that we wanted to be artists. That can mean a lot of things, but to us it just means we want to keep making art and music together. And that’s what we plan on doing. I doubt anyone’s mentally ready to swallow ‘what’s next’ yet, so we’ll just leave it at that for now. In the coming weeks, we’ll be announcing our three final shows and together, we will celebrate the the death of something beautiful. Thank you all for being a part of this."

It’s crazy. I still remember the summer I found these guy. Good stuff man. Interested to see how the side projects turns out.

I first heard Your English is Good (click play on that little track at the bottom of this here post) by Tokyo Police Club a little over a year ago. Knowing only the name of the band and that I loved cruising around, windows down, head bobbing along with the beat of that little ditty, it was a good start. 

Only recently did I decide to actually dive further into their music, and what do you know, I've learned some things...

1. Just because Tokyo is in their name doesn't mean it's where the hail from... they're actually Canadian, which is awesome

2. They make really great music. A new album full of it can be purchased right hurrrrr.

3. You will find yourself singing random lines from their songs days later and you'll be happy about it.
